Beyond the boudoir
My work has always been drawn to the human presence—how it is shaped by light, place, memory and the experience of being seen.
Amanda’s Boudoir explores that presence within intimate, carefully created interiors. My fine-art practice carries the same curiosity beyond the boudoir and into a wider world.
These projects are created across different places and moments, from the elemental coast of Ibiza to the historic streets and interiors of Rome. Some begin with the body; others with a landscape, an encounter or an atmosphere that refuses to be forgotten.
Here, photography becomes a space for observation and experimentation. The images are not made to explain everything. They explore what can be felt before it can be named: vulnerability and strength, intimacy and distance, stillness and transformation.
Each project develops its own visual language, while returning to the questions at the heart of all my work:
What remains when performance falls away?
How does a place shape the way we inhabit ourselves?
And what becomes visible when we allow ourselves to be truly seen?
